Shilaj. The Thaltej–Shilaj Road runs straight to Thaltej Cross Roads, with autos readily available, and the metro station is beside the mall. Ambli is similar by two-wheeler but involves the Ambli railway crossing. For someone without a vehicle, Shilaj is the only one of our areas we would call convenient for this corner.

Shilaj and Ambli have older 1 BHK and 2 BHK buildings that work for shared accommodation, and many owners accept working professionals. North Bopal is cheaper again for a 15 to 22 minute ride. Late shift timings are common in retail, so we favour societies with a manned gate and lift for those tenants.
How bad is the Thaltej Cross Roads junction in the evening?

It is one of the slow points on SG Highway between 6 and 9 pm, with mall traffic adding to the highway's own. Residents of Shilaj avoid the junction by coming from the Shilaj side; those from Ambli and Bopal arrive via Iscon and hit the highway stretch. Weekend afternoons and weekday mornings are easy.
